I am a design geek at heart. Creating simple solutions to complex problems that are usable, valuable and hopefully even likeable is what I strive to do. It is my belief that a good experience is one that strikes a balance between the needs of the company and the needs of its audience.

Design
Designing for both the web and print worlds takes special care and attention to detail. From ads and annual reports to interactive elements and full scale websites. I have worked with teams that have established brand identities and design systems as well as redesigning existing ones. I have also managed various types of vendors, freelancers and employees to insure that projects would be on time and under budget.
User Experience
Being able to think at different levels definitely comes in handy. I have worked on high level planning of web site projects like: site strategy, user research, information archecture, taxonomy development; and more detailed work like interaction design and standards-based markup/stylesheet planning.
Web and Application Development
While the majority of my work has focused on front end development, I have worked with back end developers on numerous projects. As a result I have a good understanding of the technical limitations of today’s web browsers. I have experience writing XHTML, XML, JavaScript, ActionScript, Flash and CSS. I also have had some exsposure to Perl, PHP, ASP and Java.
